I can find reports of protests in China (albeit short-lived, it being China and all that), but I can’t find any more, so Theland appears to be right. Muslims elsewhere aren’t taking to the streets in their thousands as they do when cartoons are published in the west.

Oh good grief.....surely those christians are now martyrs and their reward will no doubt be in heaven.....isn't that sufficient? Just as Muslims who die for their faith are considerd martyrs and will be off to have a good time in heaven. Personally I think we should all take up Buddhism...very peaceful.....

Who ever dreamed up the 'free will' argument was a genius, it has given Christians from then until now the ultimate 'get out' clause - everything that is wrong is Man's fault because of 'free will'.
At a stroke, God is excused from anything approaching responsibility for what goes on in the world he created.
Atheists like me see that simply far to pat and simple as an answer - if God wants my worship and adoration and fear and hope and just about anything else, he's going to have to show a little more on his side to prove he is around, and frankly, given the state the world is in, he needs to do it sooner rather than later ... or not at all, which will simply back up my disbelief in him anyway.

When I worked in the City I travelled extensively to Europe with an Iman. Like me he wanted the best for his family, paid for provt3 school and voted accordingly. What I came to realise most was his attitude to these scum, as he put it they dont care if I am sat next to you.
