Religionists. What Have You Got To Offer Me?
177 Answers
Seriously, what you got to offer me?
Or is it a case of what I can avoid!
I'm deadly (excuse the pun) serious. But what can your belief system/religion/spiritual tradition/ offer me except a free pass out of hell?
An eternity of Hallelujah's?
For Eternity????

What a surprise!!
No Viking has been to Valhalla ....yet...either!
Or the Summerlands!
Or the Elysian Fields!
Or any number of heavens.
//However, I have it on good authority that it will be joyous and eternal//
Now THIS is where I cannot abide the deceit of Christians.(Christians, as opposed to the doctrine of Christianity).
1) You have no good authority.
2) You have no idea if it will be joyous or not.
(Providing that you make the grade, and not condemned to God's all loving eternal suffering and torture)
3) How on Earth can ANYONE enjoy eternity worshipping a God (must get boring after a bit) knowing that the same God is refusing to release their loved ones from an eternal and unimaginable suffering in the flames of hell?
Genuine questions Theland.
Zero desire to 'trip you up'.

How dare you accuse my one-day-old grand-daughter of being guilty just because your stupid little book says so.
In my book you are the guilty one making such scurrilous accusations against an innocent child. I suggest you put your own house in order before pointing the finger.

Isnt original sin ( tell me I'm wrong) a Christian - post jesus add on?
John the baptist was er baptising - "I come before one and I am not even worthy to undo the clasp of his sandal" - all that bit
But John does NOT mention original sin
but Johns point was that you cdnt get to the Kingdom of heaven without it. + along with added " I am the light and the life and thro me you will reach life everlasting"
