Since Naomi will not give me the ****ing key I have decided to follow Jesus and be a Christian just like Theland. I am ashamed of my past history here so I'm going to devote the time I used to spend on ab to reading the Bible. No question really because I no longer care about what people think. I'll get all my answers from God from now on thank you.

You need to organise your thoughts and the only way I think you can do that and the reason why I think here is useful is to write the down. Or keep a diary. In fact both. A diary is a very good idea.
If you want to get in to my line of work then take the courses on offer at the job centre so that you can feel confident about applying for it. Admin's not that hard really.
And don't be afraid. Your fear will hold you back and you don't need to be scared. Look at all you've accomplished, all you've done and how intelligent you obviously are. This is not frightening, it's only change and that's only scary while you're thinking about it, not while you're doing it because you're too busy doing it. The only things that are really scary are anything with more than 4 legs, clowns and dolls. The rest is just bullsh1t.
And leave the damn wine alone. No wine for you until I see a smile that is not forced! (Just showing teeth is not acceptable).

Mibs, more congratulations are in order as your thread reaches another milestone, the two hundred post mark.
Well done!
Soon we shal all be on page three, where I shall go topless in the finest tradition of page three models!
How will you celebrate your achievement?
Not more champagne, that's too mundane, I'm still getting over the last bottle you popped.
China, strange that you mentioned a diary or notes, in fact when I went out today, I took a notebook with me, with the intention of writing down anything and everything that struck me as odd, unusual, memorable etc. but I forgot about it and found it in my pocket when I got home! Crazy or what?
The freebie papers came today, and there is an admin job working with trainee nurses organising their placements etc. There's a job number with it so I'm thinking of ringing them up tomorrow, and see if I fit the bill. Maybe they're looking for a female, but I'll try anyway.

China, you said you like to write. I did too, and lots of people said that I should give it a try and earn a few bob from it, zany comedy stuff. Not everybodys' cup of tea, but those that read my stuff over the years all liked it.
My wifes uncle was a guy named Brian Cook(e) who used to write crap comedy for the T.V. in the 70's and 80's and made a packet out of it. Sit coms like Robins Nest, Father Dear Father, George And Mildred, Man about The House etc etc and although I never met him, I understand he was on of the most UNfunny men you could meet. His shows never made me laugh, but it takes all sorts doesn't it?
What kind of stuff do you like to write China? Stories, plays, romantic novels, whodunnits .... ?

Mibs, you are like an absentee landlord, popping in to plant some stars and pick up the rent and then off back to sunnier climes, or the little love nest that you might have for entertaining reason & logic groupies, who throw their knickers at your feet, as they worship the Tom Jones of academia. Whatever it is, tear yourself away for a few moments and grace us with your presence and the benefit of your wisdom, or this thread might become a monologue, as China will surely do a runner if you don't come back with a thoughtful URinaL..
I think it is time we shared our whereabouts with one or two select and trusted people.
Who have you got on P.M.s who fits that description? Or could we send a coded message through chatterbank?
Bathsheba would get my vote, I know her very well, a really nice lady.
Bensmum also, I don't know her as well, but she also seems nice.
Whiffey too, a bright man and always courteous.
What are your thoughts?
I wouldn't do anything proactively.

I think Mibs exerts himself sometimes running the acadamy Theland. He's like a headmaster or Xavier from the X Men. He'll be around when he's something to add... Plus I think he likes to make a big entrance! (I am so not getting stars now righ?!)
Erm... I write a few things, don't have any particular thing I do better than others but there are people who write the sort of stuff I do better than me so I leave them to it. Generally it's a little on the introspective side I would imagine.I recently wrote a couple of poems but having re-read them several times I no longer like them any more although apparently they are good. I think it would be a good release for you to write something down. It gets stuff out the head which might slow down some of those thoughts.
As to inviting others.. Well they can see we're here I think. It appears on that thingy up there ^^^ whenever any of us writes something so I think people would join if they felt the inclination wouldn't they? I suspect Whiffey might have divived attention at the moment, he's got a couple of green Whiffeys following him around at the moment.

Why, "mibn2cweus?"
What is the significance of that name?
I'm guessing your name is Michael Brian the second, (junior), and you are a founder member of the,
"Co-operative Wholesale European Union Society."
But on the other hand, maybe not .........
And why China Doll? Are you ethnic Chinese, or just have an affinity with Chinese people and culture?
I have a second generation Sudanese young lady staying in my house tonight for her own safety, a long story, not too melodramatic I might add, more cautionary than a real threat. And I come from Swedish stock, as well as Irish and English, my wife is Irish and Welsh stock, a real mongrel family.
I'm off to bed now. Good night all, and many thanks for your patience in the face of my ramblings.
I feel quite sedated now, I think it is due to the bottle of, "Echo Falls," Californian red that I'm just about to finish off. Sorry China, I know you said, "Don't," but the lure of the anaesthesia was just too much to resist. I know I will enjoy sweet oblivion until 7am, when I have to hit the decks running again.

Ha! No. I'm not chinese. I don't even like china dolls, they scare the bejesus out of me! The name comes from two mates, I used to have a scouse friend who just called me 'doll' all the time. Which probably reminded me of being told I looked like a china doll by another mate either before or after I went out one night (I forget which), basically very dark eyes, very red lips and very pale skin... So that sort of sounds like the morning after actually :c)
G'night pumpkin. I'm not going to lecture you about the wine. You're older than me so it'd be rude to... ;0P

A hush of anticipation draws over the crowd at the house lights dim and the curtain parts once again as all eyes fixate on the only object on the stage, a lone podium with a spotlight its only companion. A few nervous coughs echo within the audience as they await the premier presentation of a poem written in the wee hours of this very morning by none other than the recitator himself . . . (the announcer steps out onto the stage) Ladies, Gentlemen . . . and you with the cweus look on your gob . . . I am honoured to welcome for your edification, the one, the only . . . Ahem, hey you, no wagering . . . Ladies and Gents . . . Theland!
In the heart of the Temple Of Reason stands,
The crypt that was dug by ancient hands,
And the mysteries of distant lands,
Are kept for contemplation.
And over by the oaken door,
Gazing out across the floor,
A China Doll looks on in awe,
In splendid isolation.
Out of place and out of time,
Her wisdom comes in prose and rhyme,
She speaks of mysteries divine,
Of heaven and damnation.
And the China Doll with eyes so bright,
Glowing with an inner light,
Gives to all a keener sight,
Those seeking revelation.
What is her name? Nobody knows,
Nor where or when or how she goes,
Helping people and all of those,
Who seek to share her vision.
Oh China Doll I hear your song,
You showed me where I was going wrong,
And I will thank you all day long,
For sharing your affection.

"China . . . China . . . wake up! It's party time! " Mib finishes counting his winnings, inserts 49% into envelope with the words, "Thanks Theland!" hurriedly scrawled on it.
Passing by in the hallway mibs hands over the envelope to Theland sputtering "Temple of Reason . . . indeed!" as he flees to the wine cellar, the cweus gob still firmly in place fearing that if his journey should be further impeded someone might notice the single irrepressible tear of admiration attempting to make a long denied and carefully plotted break for freedom.
