Blimey!!!! Couldn't take another year of battling with, Hamilton??
quit while you're ahead?
Incredible! Just incredible. Ok Toto get on the phone to Jensen
I wonder if he'll be able to stay retired?

To eat, live and breathe F1 from being a small boy and having followed in your father's footsteps, it will take great strength of character not to be lured back in...
Quite a shock considering he's only just achieved his lifetime ambition and emulated his father's achievement. At least he's going out on a 'high' unlike some sportsmen who stay that bit too long in their profession before someone else calls time on their careers.

Now it makes sense .

I wondered why he was so kind in his comments about LH , in the following days , after the title decider .

He obviously knew he was leaving and there was no point in criticizing him , given that he was no longer going to be his rival
A classy move from a genuinely nice and classy man.

Button in a one season deal would be wonderful ...
shocked and surprised, I guess he has other priorities now he has a couple of saucepans. Good luck to him. Wonder who'll get the drive, I'd like to see someone like Bottas in that seat, I'd do it myself but Toto's getting a bit clingy these days!
If they've got any sense, they'd replace him with, Verstappen.
Question Author
I wonder if Mercedes will see this as an 'opportunity' to change the ethos of how they go racing ; given the friction/ bit of local difficulty , that was , between LH and Rosberg

That is - to have a Number1 and 2 drivers

I hope they dont

I see Wikki has lost no time in changing it's entry

//Nico Erik Rosberg is a retired German Formula One driver. He last drove for the Mercedes Formula One team. He is the 2016 Formula One World Champion.//

Who actually changes the entries on the site - is it the person who put the original entry ?
Bazile, anyone can do it. Just click the tab near the top of the page that says "Edit".
That's the vdry reason Wikki isn't a reliable source of information - I've corrected a couple of errors on it.
Anyone can change wiki, Baz.

My entry used to (quite accurately) say "The Motorcycling Don Juan of AnswerBank", but some git keeps changing it to "Wannabe Lothario on a Moped" ...

I didn't realize it could be changed that easily
make sure you don't use your new-found superpowers for evil.
Disgraceful IMO all other drivers should be allowed to compete against the current champion. It reminds me of when Man United were forced by the FA to play in the 'world club championship' when winning the treble in 1999 therefore having to pull out of the FA cup in 2000. Not only disrespectful for the club, the competition and all those that had competed.
His choice, Arksided and you don't know what pressures there has been with his marriage.....

The question who - Verstappen will cost a fortune - how about Magnussen?
Any F1 driver not under contract for next year is now licking his lips.

Alonso in a Mercedes 2018 if next year's new regs don't improve Mclaren.
Cud be, snags....I wonder how much, but 15 million is the benchmark.
