I'm delighted for them.
Really pleased, its lovely to have a different side up there for a change.
A world class goal to win it to, well done Leicester City.
Through gritted teeth. Well done Leicester, deserved, a worldie goal to do it as well. Probably more pleased for Vardie than anything. That bloke is an example of how to keep going when everybody else is not. The only player to have ever played in every F.A. Cup leg in it's long history.
Well done to the winners.
Yes it makes up for their bad luck in previous finals.
Bit of a boring game, though, the only highlight being the wonder goal. Once again, two of our supposed best sides mustering just 4 shots on target between them.
Being a glutton for punishment, i then went and watched the Brighton v West Ham match in which i witnessed just 5 shots on target between the two teams. You'd think footballers on their sort of dosh would make the goalkeepers earn their wages now and again :-(
Ken - a pity you weren't able to watch the Burnley game; plenty of goals there.
bhg, i watched the Burnley game. And despite being thrashed 4-0, i enjoyed it much more than the other games i watched. 32 attempts on goal and 10 on target between both sides. I said on the Sat punt thread that, but for some woeful finishing and an excellent performance by their 'keeper, the game could have finished 4-4.Every one of Leeds' goals was worth watching.
Not the reaction you expected, maybe?
Ken - I went to school with Burnley and Blackburn supporters, so old habits die hard. I just happened to notice that Burnley were beaten yesterday, by pure coincidence at a time when you were complaining about a dearth of goals in modern football. As an aside, I was 2 years above Dobbo at school, who you will remember from times past.
We have a stand at Turf Moor, bhg. It's proper name is the Bob Lord stand, but many in the town cannot forgive Bob Lord for the underhand way in which Dobbo was sold. They still call it the Martin Dobson stand :-))
He did return to us some time later and helped us win 2 promotions before taking over as manager of Bury. Ahh, those days were a million miles away from the ESL.
Kasper Schmeichel's second save was world-class (more impressive than the goal) Well done Leicester.
Almost agree with you, Roy. The save was certainly on a par with the goal, imvho, but these two incidents alone couldn't save a dire contest. And to think, these two face each other again on Tuesday night with possibly even more at stake than winning/losing the FA Cup :-(
Yes, it is nice to see them win it. They have consistently performed these last few years and it was well deserved.
It wasn’t a great game by any means, but as a neutral routing for Leicester (like most I imagine) I found it captivating. So pleased for the owner, and just wish we had one like him at Arsenal.

Ah, Bob Lord, he comes in for a lot of stick but he did an awful lot for Burnley - still, I think, the smallest town to the win the top tier league. I'm from Nelson originally myself and can still name most of that side.
