Screen Capture

I am using Windows 7, when i press print screen and try to paste it into Paint Shop Pro, it does'nt eem to paste it.

Any ideas would be most welcome

Choose Edit/Paste as new image from the top menu.

I always use Ctrl Alt Print Screen, then edit and paste into Paint.
I know I over-egg the pudding but it always works.

...incidentally, most versions of Paintshop Pro have a built in screen capture tool.
Create a new image as big as or bigger than the area you intend to capture
Click File/Import/Screen Capture
This gives you a lot more control over what to capture compared with Print Screen.

I don't have Paint Shop, but, out of interest, I tried it in Photo Shop. It didn't work. I had to do a "NEW" first . (FILE - NEW).

Some apps work just with a Paste without NEWing first. (eg PhotoPlus)
