Well I think I'm up to speed now, my eye's still fairly bad so it takes ages to read. I'm easily distracted by the floaters & I have to keep waiting for them to drift off side, haha.
Many Congratulations Dolly & Mr D...60 yrs, fantastic! Are you sure you haven't made the papers before for any reason? ;o)
Hope all ailing husbands are making good progress.
There's nothing worse than trying to rest on a hospital ward full of ill people, I hated it. I don't want to be in a dormitory when I feel ok, it's hell on earth when all you want to do is hide away. Actually when I was in for the long stretch they did put me in side rooms, they were glass all round, fishbowls we called 'em, but better than the main ward. The problem was that other people's visitors think you've got some hideous disease & stare like you're some kind of sideshow...well except for one or two. Every night a man came to visit his mum & he always waved & smiled on his way in & out again. I've never forgotten that little bit of kindness.
Neti, you'd find something to injure yourself on in a padded cell.
Must go...weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
