Freezing pdf files

Can anyone help a complete computer idiot ?
I always download a couple of crosswords from the web which are in Pdf format. When I try to do this today my computer freezes ,they won't load and I have to log off and restart.The Adobe reader thingy is obviously not working . Tried a systems restore but that doesn't do anything either .I have no idea how to download another reader and am missing my Spectator crossword fix !
We use Firefox .
Any ideas ..thank you .

foof... god, I could have drifted home on the breeze they pumped so much gas into me, the better to get a clear picture. Really quite an uncomfortable experience, my stomach muscles are still sore. I am going to lie down for a while. Oh and I have to keep drinking to flush the dye out - that's going to be pretty, I wonder what colour it was.

Oh that was well timed, just come in for a tea & scone break. I looked in earlier & it was deserted so I did some odds & ends in the garden....there's one stinky water butt that requires attention if anyone would like to sort it out....? Any suggestions Wilhemina? Not a lot of water in it but the gardener's let privet fall into it, yuk. It's on bricks on soil so I thought I might dig a hole & let the water drain into that rather than let it run everywhere over the surface & then tip it over so it dries out. Is that a good plan?

Speaking of butts, I'm glad you survived jno, have a well earned rest...maybe give the yoga a miss today

Morning all, just popping in for the register. been out spending!! Have my sister's step-granddaughter coming in 2 weeks so am making a bag full of pressies as I don't do xmas for the extended family. She's got a pair of wedge sandals (no I don't approve but they like it) a bikini, a blowup ring for the pool, a water pistol, a bag full of bath stuff, summer shorts and t-shirt (or pj) set, and little doll complete with 5 dresses, and a pink hair band.

Apparently my friend who committed suicide, as yet, no one knows what happened so I guess the train bit is just Ibizan gossip!!

He was left in a cafe and has taken over the world. I've asked Sky news to help trace his family and they are interviewing him this afternoon. Well, it's nice to have something pleasant to think about with all the horrors in the world. The finders want him advertised in Sweden and France as he is now renown throughout the world. I've offered to adopt him as I do have a colelction of about 20!! Mad or what. and it's Ok Vinny they want their FB page published.

Mr N is very cynical and says it's a stunt to pump up business, how dare he????

Neti, that reminds me. We stayed in a hotel in London way back when Master LL was about 4. He left his beloved little monkey 'Charlie' in the hotel room. Two days later Charlie arrived in the post with a little story about his antics which the staff had composed. So sweet and very welcome.

I would love that Teddy and I have more than 20 Neti!!

It happened to Mr N's underpants in Gibralter (he left them in a hotel drawer) and they were returned but without any adventures, sadly!!
