Printer problem

After printing the first page my printer will only print the middle of pages after that. Has anyone any idea what is wrong?

is the drive belt slipping ??
possibly the first page warms up the belt
laser or inkjet ... what make / model


is the bottom of page 1 starting to fade?

if you print more than one doc ... do they all print one and miss the second ?

Thank you for answering. Unfortunately I wouldn't know about the drive belt. The bottom of the page isn't fading . It simply prints the first page out normally but all subsequent pages only have a strip down the middle of the page which misses out most of the words obviously. Also When this happened it for some reason would only print out in red!!!
I kept trying and then decided to turn it off and on again and it seemed to remedy the red problem, but not the other one.

try uninstalling - reboot - reinstall the driver

got to admit of all the things that can go wrong ... this is the first time i've heard of this.

Thank you once again, but how on earth do I uninstall and reinstall the driver. I know how to uninstall through add/remove, but drivers? I haven't a clue.

Sorry, me again,
I have just tried it again and it seems to work ok although admittedly only one page, but each time it came up with the following message "COMMUNICATIONS ERROR. Check all connections and make sure all devices are on. If the power was turned off during printing cancel the print job. If the error does not clear see your printer documentation"
