I've just registered with a large garden supplies website and when I went to log on this message came up..

Is it anything to worry about? I don't shop on the internet very often, I'm a bit paranoid. :)

Helloo, quiet in here, is it morning, noon or night?!
It's been bright sunny up to now but it's gone very grey and stormy looking. Not had a good day at all, I feel as if I've been pummelled with the dolly and put through the mangle...twice.
Hope you all feel livelier than me. Is it tonight that Lewis is back? I would have preferred not to have Angela Griffin in it but I'll give her a chance.
Yes Robi, 9pm tonight. We have spent today sleeping and eating and I am starting to look less like a lopsided chipmunk.

Thanks woofy, not sure what I've done with my tv mag.
The heavy rain arrived and it's bright again now. Not sure whether it's thundering in the distance or Jude's pipes banging.
I wandered down to the palace to look at the paintings, which was medium-interesting at best; OH went to Hammersmith and got caught in a monsoon. Obviously, the palace does not get monsooned so I'm nice and dry.
Evening all, doffs cap

Am shattered, how tiring are sisters? Had a lovely lunch and also a male friend came along as he had nothing to do, but I think he was surprised by the twittering of the sisters! Fair wore me out, so we came back home at 4.30 for a cuppa and then they left for the night, we are all very tired. Am now sitting quietly in my bed waiting for the soaps. Luckily the sisters can get Eastenders in the hotel bedroom so they won't be here again the night!
Some one left a message on answer machine saying they had a packet but couldn't find us. I was very suspicious, but eventually called them back, as it was only a local mobile not a 902 number, and there is a packet addressed to us at our old address which is the same house, but he couldn't find it, so he is calling on Monday noon to meet me to deliver it. Cannot imagine who it is from as all friends and family have my new address, unless it's from the dear old Biddies?????
ahhhh, I've just had this touching email from my cousin

THE BAGPIPER

Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Enjoy every moment of life.

As a bagpiper, I play many gigs. Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery in the Nova Scotia back country.

As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost and, being a typical man, I didn't stop for directions.

I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch. I felt bad and apologized to the men for being late.

I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn't know what else to do, so I started to play.

The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends.

I played like I've never played before for this homeless man. And as I played "Amazing Grace", the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished, I packed up my bagpipes and started for my car. Though my head was hung low, my heart was full.

As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, "I never seen nothing like that before and I've been putting in septic tanks for twenty years."
Just had lovely fish and chips and mushy peas for my supper. Then home made Tiramisu for afters. We've been to see Hundred Foot with Helen Mirren. It was a quiet little film without any bad language. If you've not seen it then don't go if you're hungry!! Not for everyone as it was very predictable but I enjoyed it and it brought a tear to the eye and made me laugh in parts as well.
Goodnight all see ya later Gaters!
I commented on your post Jno and its vanished. I said what a touching story it was. That sounds like a good film Jude, I have just bought the kindle book.

Rain s forecast to start at midnight so i have decided to stay up and see how it goes rather than go to bed and have to get up again.
Morning all
Dry and dull .Not quite as chilly though .
Hope you're all ok .The early bird catches the flu jab so that's where I'm off to shortly, hoping the queue won't be snaking round the town .
That's very good Jno .
See you later folks.

Morning..at last the fog' s cleared and for once I don't mean the brain kind. I've drugged myself up, strung my body together and hopefully I'll survive some shopping with my sister.

Very good jno, amazing Grace makes me weep...and clap my hands over my ears. :)

I see George Clooney' s bought a pad in Sonning...he'll have to keep his neighbours happy or he'll be forever straightening out his spoons.

Ps
I had to laugh when the landlady of George's local pub said Oh we get lots of celebrities here because it's quiet and private.....!! Not now, nice advert mrs. :)
ah, 'tis all very touching, Robi... till the last line. Well, it's nice and sunny here, maybe I should go out and dig a septic tank myself before the blizzards arrive because as you know it's going to be the coldest winter in a century. Though curiously I detect some scepticism in Derby on the matter

I look like a mad old woman wearing it which is exactly the effect i was aiming for.
That's very swish Woofy .I've made a "bored of Saturday morning" purchase of a padded/quilted jacket in ..wait for it ...a taupe colour .
I'm starting to blend into the wallpaper .
well, I walked to the nearest Specsavers and gave them half a dozen old pairs of prescription glasses to send to the third world somewhere, popped into Primarché for a nosey around, then came home. Pretty exciting.
