I have a small 700 microwave which is new but missing directions. There is a C 1 and a C 2 setting and I am not sure how to use these. It is a combi microwave/oven by the way. I have experimented and can get the oven part to come on but don't know how to tell the difference between C1 abd C2 and also how hot the oven gets on either of those settings.

what make is it, stargazer? Lots of makers' manuals can be downloaded from manual websites these days.

Boxtops. Thank you for replying. I have spent ages trying to get a copy. The machine is a "Sainsbury's Supermarket Ltd". "Stainless steel and black microwave oven and griil". It is probably made in China and one of a consignment that Sainsbury's marketed in their stores some years ago. There is nothing at all on line (quoting the model number) and Sainsbury do not have any detailed records that go back that far (surprising) or at least they have no manuals. I bought this brand new from a Charity shop. It had a booklet inside which I had assumed was the correct manual but it was for another model. So I have the machine and can use it on microwave but some of the symbols (for use as a conventional oven) are meaninglesss without the manual.
