I got one for Christmas, and on the whole it is excellent. There are a few bugs in iOS8 which are more annoying than problematic.

Screen quality, battery life, light weight, are all excellent, hope you are happy with your purchases.

The processor in the iPad2 is now long in the tooth.
I too replaced an iPad2. Mine was really struggling with iOS7.

As we as the obvious speed bump you will see, the tinness and lightness will be the obvious difference.

With no experience of the item I'm unsure how valued my opinion will be: but I have a guidline which states, if the item name starts with a lower case i, one's probably being asked to pay 'through the nose' just to have a part eaten apple logo on it.

I have a 16 gb ipad2 same as you. I got round lack of memory by signing up to iTunes Match. All my music both downloaded and own CDs is now stored in that plus I still have my 5gb of icloud.

I have one, probably a waste on someone who doesn't appreciate technology as much as others but I love it.
The main thing being it does feel weightless, given the size. My Nexus 7, which will still do for holidays etc feels like i'm holding a brick now !

Bit like the rapid advancement of mobile phones 10yrs ago really !
