my pal set up m y wifes i phone
hetook the password from my router
to get her on the internet
now that he knows my router password
can he view my laptop
thanks
Remenber though, henry, that if you change the router password you will have to tell all your wifi connected devices what the new password is or they won't be able to connect to it, including your wife's iphone. If you got your pal to set up your wife's iphone because you don't know how to do it yourself, you'll have to get him back again and then he'll need to know your new password.
Bazile:
It's possible that the guy you saw was a BT Broadband customer. BT Home Hubs provide TWO wifi signals. One is for the customer in that house and the other is for any other BT Broadband user (or for people who, like me, who pay a separate monthly fee to use the system) to be able to access the internet almost anywhere in the country.
So, as you suggest, it's likely that the guy you saw was using he wifi signal from a local resident's house but it was probably 'all above board".
