Trouble With Canon Camera

I have a Canon SX120 camera and I think I must have pressed something wrongly because after I have taken a picture I get a request on screen to set the date and time - this gets a bit tedious after the third or fourth time. Can anybody help please ?

I assume that you've set the date and time on each occasion but perhaps you omitted to press the 'Function Set' button afterwards?

I still have this problem. I went to a camera shop and the chap said he thought it had something to do with an internal battery but had no idea how to fix it. Any ideas ?
