Windows 10 Spellchecker

New laptop 3 months ago and spellcheck working normally, but now, after rt. clicking the suggestions panel hesitates before it appears - if at all. Or a bar shows with several options none of which are to do with spelling. Repeated clicking sometimes makes it work. What is wrong?

Windows itself doesnt have a spell checker - which office package are you using.

When I look at all the facilities via the Start menu there is Office and Windows Office both 2010 Not sure which is which I have.
