Can anyone recommend a B+W laser printer that prints 2-sided automatically (without having to take the paper out), something for home use so nothing expensive.

The current "best" mono laser printer is the Lexmark e120N.
This is less than 100 pounds but is network ready so you can plug it into a router and all the PCs in the network can print to it, not just the PC that it is attached to.

For duplex printing I tend to print odd pages first, then turn the paper over and then print even pages. That tends to work OK.
(Just make sure you turn the paper over the correct way, very easy to finish with upside down printing)
My guess is you will have to pay over 250 pounds to get a duplex printer (willing to be proved wrong though)
