I have just bought a Belkin Notebook Network Card, at the installation menu it tells me to insert my card into the cardbus slot. But i cant find one on my laptop, the manual says i have but i cant find it anywhere.

My laptop is the PACKARD BELL EASYNOTE R1005.

It is a very thin slot, usually on the side of the laptop.

Often it has a little door covering the opening which folds back when you slide the card in.

It will probablt have a small button next to it that you press to get the card out.

Here are a couple of pictures, although yours may look slightly different.
