Blank internet pages

Several websites that I have attempted to view recently just show up completely blank. The status line at the foot of my Internet Explorer window says "Done" but the page is just white. Originally this happened on an estate agent website but now the same thing happens if I try and view Wikipedia pages.

I know the destination websites are working because I've checked them at work. I have been able to see the Wiki sites before.

Does anyone know why this might be happening? I'm getting really frustrated!!

It's happening because you're using Internet Explorer, it's that simple People who know about conputers don't use it!!

Your computer is probably full of spyware

Use a modern browser like Mozilla Firefox which is light years ahead much user friendlier is customisable and soo much mure secure ,

This may be because IE needs a plugin you haven't got installed. It could happen if Java is disabled. You might have the wrong versions of plugins or Java, or even IE. The content could be being blocked by firewalls or AV protection. Or malicous software, as fiesata says. The list goes on...

Just because another computer can see it, doesn't mean that there isn't a problem with the website.

Once the 'wrong' page is in your cache, you're quite likely to keep getting it. Try clearing IEs temporary internet files.

Check for updates and then let them do a scan of your PC but use only one of the programs at a time to stop any potential conflicts.
