first one was a noisey bugger anyways..nighty night xxx..(:O)
Aww Vinny thanks. I missed your disco by a fraction last night – darn time difference. If by any chance the first clip was Coldplay? here's a cover of Viva la Vida sung by a former Idol runner-up. It's not half bad or what do you reckon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oief9vjw8T0

Where's everybiddy? Some friends are coming to town for the weekend so I'll be joining them for dinner out and then we'll split up into a theatre group and a movie group – the latter one just me and one other friend; we thought the play would be boring and decided months ago we wanted to see Taking Woodstock instead. Only, they don't show it anymore :( so we may see Julie&Julia instead. Probably not a great film but Meryl Streep is said to be very funny in it. Is it all right if I go there with garlic cloves up my nostrils ha ha, I'm hysterical about confined spaces these days. There was a very Swinish cough aboard the airplane the other day! …and I really don't want even a "peasant cold" (as we call the simpler infections, PC as we are).

What time is it, I'd better go and put my face on so my friends recognise me.
Morning...Well they obviously all saved their fireworks for last night...hours & hours of them, it was like Victorian London out there.
Love the Coldplay Vinny, I'd listen to Fix You but I'll only end up a snivelling wreck :'o(

Is old age the same as being pregnant neti?! Well I hope you're not mi girl, tut, we don't want to be kept awake in the afternoons by a squealing baby. I suppose it's a similar thing, back ache, wind (from both ends), piles & mood swings, haha...actually once I was over a nasty kidney infection I loved being pregnant & felt very well & calm both times.

That was a lovely send off Kit, yes sunshine always has a big effect, it seems to be something you remember clearly. Lovely that you have pictures too, people tend not to take them at funerals, I suppose it feels odd somehow yet sometimes it's the only time you see some of your family....It was a very long journey for you & everyday on here is a geography lesson :o). Hope you enjoyed your night out.....[oh no, still asleep in the cinema?]...I'm exactly the same about catching bugs, I've perfected my mean stare for anyone who coughs within a half mile radius of me.
Morning all - ouch! had a very heavy night last night, opening of a new bar, so I rocked!!! Mr N kept saying "careful now" but I was well-behaved. Have just cleared away sun umbrellas from the (now empty) pool and had a jolly good clean up outside, finally getting rid of 2 dead cockroaches who had been on t heir backs for weeks, but I don't trust the little buggers as they have been known to leap into life once back on their legs! Am off for a quiet sunday lunch in an English bistro but only cos it's in walking distance but I shall not be having a sunday roast, as I only have them at home!

Have download "The Boat tha tRocked" so shall watch that this afternoon, it's supposed to be a bit like Radio Caroline - who remembers that! Loved Mike A'hearne!! Am also downloading "Yield to the Night" Diana Dors, anyone heard of that one??
Good morning Biddyfriends. A lovely morning here but chilly. I saw better fireworks last night than I saw at the organised night I went to, even though they went on a bit later than you'd expect.
Neti I think Yield to the Night is the story of the last woman to be hanged in Britain. I could be wrong but I think her name was Ruth Ellis or something like that.
Hi Kit pleased everything went peacefully for you at your Dad's funeral; and your night out with your friend hope that the film was good.
Just having a lazy day today doing the Sunday puzzles in the paper. I have the The Sunday Express for them and The Reviews. In the week I only have the local rag I get fed up with the Nationals.
Hope you all are having a peaceful Sunday
Bye for now x
Look neti, just because you're hung-over & want to loll about watching tv there was no need to pinch the ITV channels from my freeview....tut....where are they, I want them back?

hi Jude...I loved Diana Dors. I don't even buy the local paper anymore, I have a quick peek online sometimes, I can scan through the headlines to see if I'm in there :o)
Yes jude, the film is based loosely on Ruth Ellis, how well I remember that.

Sorry about your itv channels Robi old thing, have just watched MSM but I always fall asleep in them, does that mean they are boring??
Oh buffer it,
take 2...I hit refresh instead of submit...

Morning again,
'tis very cold here, 6C! but at least it's bright 'n sunny.
Neti I fall asleep watching most things lately, the programmes with ads are fatal. I close my eyes when they come on - most of them are unwatchable - and the next thing I know is I've missed about 20 mins. My ITV channels came back last night (just in case you were worried about them, haha)
Afternoon possumistas, I'm sitting her licking my feet (cf. licking your wounds…!) after yesterday's museum hopping . We visited three, but I'll admit the second one was just for testing coffee (!) and the third one just for eating at their restaurant, so in effect only the first museum visit was what you'd expect that phrase to mean. It was an art exhibition involving this painter http://www.waldemarsudde.se/wilhelmson.html whom I didn't like very much but many of his paintings depict the part of the country where my friend grew up and in fact one of her distant relatives posed for one of them, so that was fun. Apparently he did some painting in Cornwall too, we saw one called Old English Seamen but I can't find it on the internet.

I cried with laughter at Meryl Streep as Julia Child… She's a genius. I hope they never put her and Kevin Spacey on the same show doing impersonations, Meryl doing her Julia Child and Kevin doing his Katharine Hepburn, 'cos that would be the end of me, I'd die laughing.

You there, Dolly? Did you email me an invitation to a… erm… dating site =:O ? If you didn't, then THEY are somehow able to email your contacts and make it look as if it comes from you. I didn't click the attached link but I googled their site and came up with this and I wanted to warn you and everybody else about it: http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/tubely.com
Uh-oh, there's someone at the door - Neti did you order pizzas...? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNW4Rnx0kxk
oh hi Kit you just reminded me about something...do any of you receive emails from 'electical companies?' I get them all the bloomin time & each time they're from a different company name and sender with a hotmail address...I think they use people's addresses to send random mails to lots of people in one go (this isn't making much sense is it). Anyway I don't open any links, delete & block them from sending anymore and I'd prefer not to have any 'chain mails' thanks, I never forward them anyway because my friends & family don't want them....my sister's puta was completely bu&&ered by them. The round robins between us on here are ok tho'.
Dolly if you're there I'd change my hotmail address & password if I were you, there was a massive hacking problem last month.

hahaha...that's a mean....but funny video!
I quite like some of his paintings Kit...amazed you didn't post this one

http://www.amells.com/images/oih8813.jpg

:o)
Hi Robi, I can't figure out what you've omitted in 'electical but I don't think I do, no. But I get lots of Viagra email from my own email address =:O

About C.W. I liked his composition skills (like in the one you posted, that's marvellous!) but not his colours.

Robi's advice is good, Dolly.
Robi, sorry I sent you that email but a) I thought it was funny, b) it was from a safe site and c) I wanted to see what happened, err, nothing happened - did anything happen for you???
It's ok Neti, I should have said something before but it's been ages since I had a chain email....my own virus filter seems to be good but you never know about those you might be passing it on to.

haha I should have said electrical company or electrical supplies Kit (I can't think straight at the moment, I haven't been sleeping very well...except when I'm watching the tele!)...I've googled the company name each time & there have always been lots of complaints about all of them...people have even been daft enough to order & pay for items & needless to say their goods never arrive.

hello all long time no chat. We have been assembling and disassembling the wireless box art home and AB for some reason took a huff and wouldn't let me play. The wood floor is down and looks so beautiful that we are having the dining room done too so more furniture moving. DH has a bad toe, I have a bad back and one lumpy throat gland today...but the floor is lovely. Dogs are a bit dubious, one(Rab) has learned where not to speed up (we have a hall runner and a rug but the have to go slow over the actual wood) Shughy learns but forgets again, think i'll change his name to Bambi. Not even time today to read the thread as kitchen surveyor comes tomorrow and we still have a good proportion of the dining room in the kitchen as the lounge went into the dining room (confused??? me too).
Anyway we will be plugging and unplugging the box again over the next month or so so i will say hi when i can but may not be able to....deffo back for biddy christmas though.
Take care all

quick breeze through and spotted Robi's question about Kipling bags, the nylon ones go in the washing machine (remove the monkey first) my oldest one is now about 12 years old and looks like new. they are brilliant for pacrats like me as everything fits in. Thet aren't waterproof but deffo showerproof.
Afternoon..

In the washing machine woofy? What about a thwack on a rock & good mangling - as in that painting? :o) Thanks for the info, I like to have a bag that's ready to grab & go in case of emergencies, and they look like a good compromise between handbag & suitcase, haha... I think it's a habit I acquired over the past few years & can't get out of it....be prepared!

Well good for you Saint Vincent, but eat ya heart out....I'm one of the £45 million Euro winners but I've decided to carry on moaning as usual :o)
aaaaggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!
I've just this minute had one of those emails from my bank (it really is the bank I use) that want you to log in...don't worry I'm not falling for that...are you supposed to let them know it's happened?

hmmmm, I think it's going be foggy tonight Jude, it's got that 'look'

ps woofy, your Bambi made me laugh, Charlie's just the same on the kitchen floor when he's wearing his yeti boots (ie he needs clipping) and I've just cleaned it (ie we're not sticking to it)
Afternoon each brrrrrrrrr it's heating on time. Yes Robi I've just got in and it looks as though it is going to be foggy tonight. I reckon it's a get tucked up in front of the telly night. University challenge tonight. Last week I managed 10 questions right which is my record. Mind you I suppose they were a bit easier than usual.
I don't do round robins or anything like that either. Definitely don't answer anything supposedly from my bank asking for details.
I appreciate what it's like having your house upside down Woofy but I bet it will look brill when it is all finished. I'm quite happy with my lounge now all I need are some new curtains. The ones I have aren't too bad but don't quite match so I am looking out for some better ones.

Hope you all have a good night. Keep warm
See yer later 'gater(s)
