Sky Digi Box

Box has gone onto standby and won't switch on, either manually or with remote control. Is this a fault in the box or related to setting up new TV? LeMarchand gave me some good guidance in earlier post re. making all connections and I know it isn't related to this because it went onto standby before I started.

unplug the box for one minute and then plug back in if it does not work after doing this then it is faulty.

i agree with mrs cheeks as my system does this quite regualary and that seems to sort the problem

yep, done that a few times - including overnight, and it is still stuck. Thanks.

these units often run hot and the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply section can dry up and cause fault conditions. They need replacing. If you're not into electronics, take the unit to a technician and have it looked at.
