copying dv tape to a cd/dvd

are there any websites,shops etc which will do this for me?i have a camcorder which copies onto mini dv tapes,it wont connect to my laptop as i dont have firewire stuff and looks a bloody rip off to buy the stuff,might aswell have bought a new camcorder!
anyway trying to think of easier ways to do this?the camcorder came with a cable to tape onto big video tapes but i dont even have a video anymore!any help greatly appreciated.
