I can lie in but once I'm up that's it .I envy people who can power nap .I would zonk out too heavily and feel disorientated when I woke up or I would just sleep on and on and .........
I'm off to brave the Post Office ,wish me luck :)

Afternoon All biddyfriends everywhere. VeryVeryVeryVery cold here!! but I still went to Tai chi and kept my scarf and hat and boots on while I was doing it. The hall we go in has heating but is still cold. My sister says it was 14 degrees this morning when she went out to look on her thermometer. She's mad going outside just to look how cold it is.
After T C we went to the pub and I had brocolli and cream cheese bake, chips and salad and it was lovely and tastey. I'm home now all wrapped up and keeping warm and not going out again today. I'm supposed to be going to Chatsworth House tomorrow with my sister but it may be cancelled yet. I shall have to wait and see.
Shaney I know what it's like to go to bed tired and then not be able top drop off. I was told by the dr it is a sign of depression. Nowadays I sometimes cant get to sleep cos I've had a long sleep the night before so I just get up and make a cuppa. I'd just drop off to sleep when you feel like it.
Asda isn't my favourite shop. but I do look at the clothes sometimes and I got my hat from there, but I look at clothes anywhere don't I!!
We have an express Tesco where we live and I sometimes use it but Sainsburys is my favourite and the nearest one is only round the ring round from where I live.
When I came to Ibiza Neti I stayed in Cala Llonga. and another place the name just escapes me at the mo. I know I've had some lovely holidays there.
Off now for a while take care all of you and ''keep the home fires burning'' x

hmmm, maybe I'm on to something with the sick supermarket thing, I'll have to do a survey. You'd be in trouble if you wanted to go to the loo in our Tesco shaney...I doubt it's even got one for the staff, haha. It's only a small (T Express) biddy size store & despite not liking their own brand stuff I nip in about once a week..the fresh veg is very good...and lurpak's often on offer! :o)
I've been told that not being able to get to sleep is anxiety...and sleeping for a few hrs but waking early (about 4am) is depression. It makes sense 'cos I've had both. I have to say I don't get agitated if I cant sleep, and I never, ever get up (unless I need a wee, haha) I just turn on the radio, listen to a relaxation cd or do sudokus.
Right now tho' I'd like to sleep 'til March, this weather is soul destroying.
Looks like the Ed's getting fed up, he's posted the rules & regs in suggs... for what good it'll do.

Shaney. I would sleep during the day if you are tired and not worry about the fact that you might sleep for too long. Just sleep when you are tired and if you sleep all day, then so what. You must get some quality sleep to continue otherwise you will be ill.
I sleep during the day when I am tired, as you know and it helps me. It's animal instinct to sleep when we are tired, just look at our furry friends.
Really cold here today too Jude. Beautiful sunshine earlier but freezing cold.
Neti, I can't remember the name of the pension is was about 36 years ago! Neither can I remember the name of the place we stayed at when I was 19 but it wasn't Cala Longa and it was very close to Ibiza Town and I seem to remember the hotel being quite high up on a small cliff....................

I've been getting to sleep late for a week or two now, no reason except perhaps lack of exercise during the day - I've spent the last couple of days waiting for phone calls and as I don't have a mobile this means sitting at home with sudokus or housework*. No anxieties keeping me awake - just not sleepy. The weather here is still chilly but no more than that. No wonder they call our street the Ibiza of the north.

Bah, humbug, got to the doctors at 18hrs in time for my appointment and the whole corridor was heaving with people. Message on surgery door, "Go to surgery 10", it was a locum, and they 17.30 people were still waiting, I chatted for a wehile to a mate and then at 19hrs I came home, the locum ws taking so long, I would still be there. Obviously my doctor has taken a "puente" (bridge between the 2 fiestsa) so was off from Sat until this Thurs, so I'll go back then. Will just keep taking aspirin until I see doctor although to be honest the pain has lessened a lot!

tip du jour: Keep a bucket/saucepan/jug fresh water on standby...the trouble starts when it thaws.

right then, I'm off to Biddyford to post the rest of my cards, even when you factor in the 5 hour drive it's still going to be quicker than our local. Vinny, just leave a can of Becks on the pavement outside, will you.
neti, have they invented cat flaps in the Balearics yet? You could always get a spare one for the fridge too.
Bit nippy here... went to an Estonian do last night and got given a miniature bottle of something Estonian ... poured it over some ice cream and it was very nice, slightly rummy.
