Sorry folks, but it's quite mild here today and dry, so have done 4 loads of washing already and 3 loads of drying, as I cannot be bothered to let it hang about too long, all nearly dry anyway!

Have cleaned out the fireplace as don't want another fire until Christmas, makes too much mess, had to lug an old hoover out of the storeroom as I won't use Henry for the ashes!!

Just bought a box of choccies for the postwoman, as she is very helpful to us. Wouldn't dream of giving money over here (unless it's a bribe to the authorities).

Just popped in to say I haven't forgotten you. Have been shopping/houseworking/clearing out, etc. etc. Was up at the crack of dawn and in Morrisons just after opening. -6.5 here at present!!

I'm the same shaney, I keep coming over queasy & flu-ish...then it passes for a while. I s'pect it's a bit of a bug...just as long as it doesn't become more than that. Hope it wasn't too much of a trek to the hospital for you, I didn't go out, couldn't face the cold air, I'll see what tomorrow brings. It might be a teeny tad warmer on Wed so I might risk waiting until then. Any fresh stuff's not going to be up to much by the weekend if I buy it now anyway.

I'm just glad I'm not stuck at Heathrow airport, what a nightmare.

greetings all...bit of a funny grey day here. Its snowed and rained. DH got his next blood test today, fingers crossed all till wednesday when the results are back, do not want to deal with a poorly kidney over christmas. Took dogs for a car ride and burger as no walk again today. we were sat at macs when it started to sleet heavily so we up sticks for home again PDQ. Oh dear oh well KBO

Lottie I am forbidden to see the pic...don't worry, we put less in their food bowls to compensate for the burgers, also they get extra running around the garden (at 02.00....see earlier post. Where we take them to run is sheet ice at the mo. At least a ride in the car and a treat stops them going crazy.

Evening all, just finished for the day, I seem to have been on the go all day, made a meat and pot pie, and lully buttered cabbage, very nice. Have brought out the xmas goodies and Mr N is tucking into the mince pies like mad, I've already had a Mr Kipling xmas cake slice (just love them) and the Quality street is open to all!!!!

Am now in bed watching Behind the Queen's coronation, quite good!

oh bless that's so sweet. The boys are running around in the garden again, will be sooooo glad when they can get a proper run. It will need to thaw first. We got caught out like that lthe year before last, it had rained and frozen, drove up there no problem and got out of the car onto sheet ice...no grip no fun.
