Oh pee po...I try not to get uptight about it 'cos others are far worse off but this really is the giddy limit. It had just started to shrink & now it's white over again. It's getting to my aches and pains big time...
Yes neti that sounds like something to do with your upper spine, I get it often & it maks me feel dizzy and faint (something to do with the blood flow being constricted) Could be you need a different pillow or maybe it's just your sub 20c temperatures.
Be careful out there all. Nite.x

Hi all. Just got in. Had a good night but not a lot in because of the weather it was snowing most of the night. The taxi had to do a detour going cos the A52 was closed and we went through 2 villages to get there and it cost me £11 but one of son's friends and wife gave me a lift home. Sitting with my coat on drinking me cocoa and unwinding.
Neti I've absolutely no idea what the matter is. I just hope you get better soon but if it hasn't gone over the weekend I'd go to the Drs.
Hope you're all tucked up in bed not and having a good night's sleep. I will be in a bit.
Night Night!!!

Morning or the likes, and belated congrats to Neti and Mr N. Great idea drinking alcohol (all alcohol is an anticoagulant) if you're afraid you have an aneurysm Neti;-) ...but I'm with jno and Robi regarding what the most plausible explanation is - something spine related. You haven't got a new keyboard do you. I can get terrible neck pain when I use a wide one. Also, I'm amazed that so many of you biddies are able to use laptops the way they are, with no ergonomic extras. I couldn't go half an hour without my ergo-gadgets. I was wondering if it might have something to do with your Dup... Depp... Dupery... erm, your contractures, but some quick googling didn't confirm that. Anyway, you should a) make an appointment and b) not worry meanwhile. Robi is right about pillows, they can make all the difference. I now sleep with a flat one that isn't a pillow at all but a don't-know-what-it's-called, a flat cushion you put on a wooden kitchen chair, I sleep with one of those plus a supportive woollen shawl to fill out the "hollows" if you see what I mean, and it's the best pillow solution I've ever had.
Was so tired yesterday, wanted to post but couldn't think. I'm so tired I can feel my thoughts getting mixed up with the words in front of me on the screen or in a book and I don't know what's what. So when yesterday I read Vinny's post about Swedish socks for cars I was certain I had lost it ha ha - what you talking about, hippie? You making fun of us? :) Speaking of tyres and this climate, in the north of Sweden it's not uncommon for people to find they're unable to use their car that day, cos the tyres have gone all square and frozen that way.
Woofy I googled Sterimar to see if it's available in Sweden but it doesn't seem to be. One of the components was stated as "organic matter". Uh well yes, would they care to specify, it makes me nervous that they don't, ha ha. /Hope scan went well./Get well Lottie, take care. / Beautiful

I hate being here (at home) where the air is no longer fit for breathing so I'm off out again... so exhausted... A friend is in town and her daughters are selling their own jewellery (i.e. that they made themselves) at a market so we'll go say hello to them and then we'll see; a friend of my friend's is coming too and my friend is hoping she'll invite us home to see her new place. We'll see. Have a fine day biddies and hippie.

morning all. Sterimar is filtered sterile sea water. Sterile and natural at the same time. Its the modern version of a neti (ha ha) pot. No side effect and truly miraculous on sinus and nasal problems. It has rained and frozen here. Sheets of ice on the side roads. Another vote for a neck arthritisssy type problem, worth a pop to the docs Neti.
ah, here's sunrise out my way

rained overnight so most of the snow's gone, and I don't think it's cold enough to have turned to ice, but I shall test this by falling over and breaking something. We're going to a "German Christmas market" today - it's really just a party but our German friends are inviting everyone to bring food and drink along and buy it from each other for charity... sounds a bit like that community I think Mark Twain described where people 'make a precarious living taking in each other's washing'. Anyway, assuming I can walk there (just round the corner but I have weak ankles) it should be fun.
Kit, sorry to hear you're being driven out of home again, I hope the air outside is breatheable.

Bonjour grumpies...oh sorry is it just me who is?
Well it's raining here! YAY!...never thought I'd say that but the sooner this lot disappears the better. Managed to get to the shops, bit dogy on the pavements & I was wearing the naffest footwear imaginable, some waterproof boots I've had for many year, but who cares? Now if we could only stay above freezing?
It's taking it toll on Charlie, he really doesn't seem too good today.
Do be careful Kit, I feel exhausted for you. x
Yes neti, very lovely but this isn't the Eurovision Weather Contest & you don't score douze points for having warmth & sunshine...NIL points :o)
Seems to be an awful lot of festive stuff about in the shops, is it xmas soon?

well the rain washed away enough of the snow for us to go out so we took the boys for a hamburger and went and did some shopping. I am sat here sipping a glass of champagne just because I feel like it. DH doesn't fancy alcohol atm so I will work my way through the bottle over the next few days. Dogs are flaked, tree goes up tomorrow. If it doesn't freeze then the boys will get a walk tomorrow.
Kit is there nowhere you can go and stay for a day or two? I foresee you spending christmas in hospital otherwise

very pleasant day here, well above freezing, most of the snow and slush has gone. Nice party - their house is so beautifully decroated and full of artworks (no Gauguins or anything, just nice modern paintings and sculptures that fit in beautifully). It is a constant reproach to the squalor in which I live. I will have to think about working a new year resolution.
bonsoir...yes, there's a whole 1C of heat here, but what a difference to be on the plus side, it feels positively tropical & the atmosphere feels so different. Shame it's set to be much colder again for the coming week.
Sounds lovely jno but I'm sure your home is lovely really.....oh no, I remember now

Nevermind, that's art in some people's books.
And you missed all the fun this afternoon, less Gaugin, more a gogo (as in trolls in cb).

oh, I tried to buy Tracey Emin's unmade bed but she said my house was too untidy for it. Trolls, you say? Well I never. I see Butch has been banned, apparently on the grounds that he's no-kno, which surprised me. I always rather liked Butch, probably because his avatar was so cute, but mad dogs must be shot.
Morning all, back to frozen status again, tut.
