Dris - She posted asking how she could bypass the security her parents had put on the family PC. Nobody here will help her with that whether it was Molly or anybody else.

Chuck is spot on, so what you're asking us is kind of wrong, Molly.
Well with my limited knowledge but having an understanding of what you have just posted I can safely say the Administrator has taken over the the PC and you cant bypass anything (unless youre a genius) without the password :(
Its for Security primarily but as ive posted in another thread I use it to change the 'age' guidelines of who can use the PC but then I do that for spite and I admit that and only I have the password.

Helen Like i said people hack into top secret government files, I'm sure i could change this password with the help of a techie person.

Why yogi?
She came on for Techical advice -if someoen cant help her or be constructive in their reply as to the reasons then dont answer. That is fairly simple common courtesy.
I so wish someone would treat me just for one day like that -seriously.......
SB-sorry mate you wouldnt post replies to me like that -I would take exception.
I don't think anyone who 'could' help you is going to help you get round a parentally enforced restriction (even if you believe it to be unfair).

I think you'll just have to work with your Dad on this, after all, he's still making sure that you have access to t'interweb..........and hope that the adults can resolve their squabble in short order.
Can i just draw posters attention to the fact that its very difficult to answer everyone or even see their posts if you are being bombarded. Its not ignorant -its just well nigh impossible -not that I have the same problem ........(nor do any of you if you think on)

Soz yogi xxx (that should do it;))
