I've tried googling but I can't really understand it. Can anyone answer these questions as simply as possible.

Is the iphone available as a PAYG?
If so, is it expensive in terms of calls/texts?
When downloading apps does it charge for the downloading of the app (even if its a free app)?
Does it charge to run/play the app (e.g. Facebook)?

Thanks

A quick look at Which? Mobile website shows that Apple's iphone is available on PAYG: it costs from £400 to £600 to buy, calls typically 20 -25p/min and texts 12-15p. Didn't get any further!!
I had to have my iPhone unlocked and now it's PAYG on Orange and I get one of the animal deals (no idea which one). I don't pay for the free app downloads but for some reasons I can't use the Internet outside of the house.
I'd sooner have one of these ..

My husband has got one of those (or something that looks exactly the same) and he hates it. I can't even get it started or answer a call on the stupid thing.
I've got iphone on PAYG with O2 but you have to buy the phone. Top up £15 a month and you get all your O2 to O2 calls and texts free. Internet including email costs £10 a month. There is a limit but I have never reached it and I live on the net. That tenner covers everything, FB access, downloading apps (but you still buy the not free ones) etcet. You also get free wifi at loads of places, macs and starbucks for a kick off you can check the website to find out where else. AND you still have a fiver a month left to spend on calls and texts to non O2 numbers.
lol Sher .. They're all like that now tho : )
They are not phones any more .. more like a way of life.
PS the purchased apps are paid for through itunes, not your payg account.
I can't work half of the electronic stuff in the house - if something goes wrong and my husband is out, I have to get the 10 year old to sort it out for me (now I think about it, there is an obscene amount of electronic stuff in the house).
