Right you lot,
this is your task for September. I seriously want you to go the the dvd shops and see if they sell "Housewife 69"I think that's what it is. It's by and starring Victoria Wood. it was shown on ITV and that's all I know. If any of you find it, I'm not asking you to buy it or anything, just want to know which shop it is so can send my sister out for it, as she's not good at touring shops. Obviously I asked in the BBC shops and they said no.
erm, well apart from being 20 out - it's 49 it's on amazon....

tut, you traipse around the shops & they don't even rush in with a cuppa tea when you get back....

...it's on the Woolies site as well.

Hardly think it's fair giving us a September task when we're already on the 20th :-(

I've a question for you guys....why doesn't this question appear on the Recent Posts thingymejig over there? >>>
because we're a secret sock-ciety B00....shhhhhhh
Ahhhh taps side of nose....nuff said ;-)
Get with it BOO it may be the end of September, but Robinia has won the task already! Have any of you seen this dvd, is it any good, sorry about the 69 (that is my home no. <oh the shame>) I've asked my dvd pirate if she can get it as it's easier, but if not then I'll maybe order from the internet, which terrifies me.
Sorry Robi meant to say thank you, but I got carried away with the excitement.
it's brilliant netit & if you paid more attenshun my girl you'd have seen me & shaney talking about it...possibly Vinny too....
if your sis lives near to a Smiths they should be able to order her one if it's not in stock.

wonder what colour he's painting the town today?

It's brilliant Neti I have watched it twice and read the book .
Although VW really brings the character to life ..the book is as it is written by her during the war with a little bit of editing and the way she writes is how people used to write then .A bit prosey .But nevertheless worth reading .I saw the film first and had VW fixed in my mind and was quite surprised when I turned a page in the book to find her actually looking at me ...lol ... here she is

Hello possums, did I hear BOO...? So glad you're here BOO, I wanted to tell you (on that photography suggestion) where we were, but as Robinia says we're a bit secret these days. I have not imagined you as a granny! And what happened to your arm?

/whispers back to Robinia/ Come to think of it I do remember N-e-t-i mentioning something about being diagnosed with rats in the belfry... but myself being normal and completely unneurotic I didn't even know what that meant - until this mice-in-the-oven business. I wouldn't have dared to tell you anyway, she has my phone number, remember.

I'm at the internet cafe making address labels for a friend of mine who's losing her eyesight. I knew it was coming to that but it still was a shock to discover recently that one of the glasses in her specs is just window glass nowadays. Very sad, very strange. We've seen so many plays together... (And London!)

(continued below)

(continued)

Ouch, Shaney, "shingles", I didn't know what that was, the other day (sounded more or less like "the jitters" to me) but I've looked it up in my dictionary at home now. That hurts, I believe. I've tried image googling for "gin cheese" to comfort you but didn't get any hits so I think you'd better invent one. / Oh do find a new dog! Please! No one could take Shaney's place, we all know that. But still...

Vinny... I'm speechless. Will that bridge be in tomorrow's paper, I wonder. And when they wrote "London bridge is falling down" - did that have anything to do with you...? I'm not sure if the little white van Maggie mentions signifies what I think it does... but either way: Vinny and Neti: pack your bags, you're both going where life is beautiful all the time.

Bye for now, possums, I'd better get on with the labels. Stay with us, BOO.
Awww Swedey, always good to see you girl xxxxx

I love it when i finally get to track you lot down to a hidden post somewhere (well actually, shaney told me) You're not on 'ere often enough either, think we'll have to club together to get you t'internet at home. Heres my contribution...

<nips over to ribenia's homes and sprays the outside pink with yellow dots>.yo.(:O)
Did you know that there is a book and newsagents etc. shop in Gibralta called W. H. Smiffs? I had to go in a buy a bookmark with it on. Couldn't resist it.

Shaney I think that the best compliment you can pay to your little dog is to get another. This is what I did.

I am sitting wrapped up in a duvet, thick socks and fingerless gloves - Gas Fire on the blink and now the CH is too. I would be better off in a tent in the garden (if I had any grass to pitch it). The CH is ten months old - I think I will have to move in Judes spare bedroom. lol. I hope that son No. 4 will sort it out.
just to answer B00, since everyone else seems determined not to, the recent posts thingy only covers threads that have begun in the last week. So biddies always make a point of hanging out in old threads (me especially)... things like 'Wot about this Somme offensive, then, you think the boys'll be home by Christmas?'... oh, they may look a little shabby but with some loving attention and a gallon tin of Brasso they can usually be made respectable again...

could have swore we were in the spotlight the first day it appeared jno,and we were in an old thread to..! and I think it was robinia who had a little word in the EDS shellike...(:O)
then again I could be talking a load of old cods wallop...hehe...! legs it back to the rugger>>>whoosh...!
Oooh I am glad to see that someone has explained it all..I did start an essay but gave up and went to bed .
Some (insert word of choice ) woke me up on one of those buzzing (again insert word of choice) bikes ..up the road ..down the road ...up the road and so on .
I would love to file the wretched bike into a sort of long shape and then tell whomever it is where to put it ! Bah !
Oh dear Maggie not good when your heating breaks down .Hope you soon get it fixed .
I doubt we shall get another dog ..youv'e probably never seen Shaney have you ? He wasn't little ! Lol ..
Well I shall have a breeze round and then attempt to go back to my bed ....but of course I am peckish now so I shall have to force myself to make some toast and cup of tea ...Nite all xx.
Morning all - rain, rain, rain, rain, rain - get the gist?? Not that I mind at all - will be able to use my big see-through brolly and amaze the locals!

Oh shaney I thought Ibiza was the only place on earth with annoying motorbikes, seeing as the Spanish do love noise. Luckily I am in a secluded area, so do not hear them too much, being on a private mudpath as it were!

I am amazed at kit's command of the English language and the way she gets most of our jokes, and she said she wasn't very good at it. She speaks the Queen's English better than most brits it has to be said.
