Electricity In Dubai?

Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

I'm reading Woman's Weekly :) My sister brings her old ones for me. I told her to please stop doing the puzzles, haha. Actually she did & now scans and prints 2 copies so she and her OH can have a race to finish them. It keeps them busy and off the streets, they'd only be scowling and tutting at people. We're an exciting family.

The unwell tortoise is called Heidi because she is a devil for hiding. My tort probably has got a name but she has never told me what it is.

My friend gives me her old Woman's weekly but I find them directly, the stories I never read and she does all the puzzles although I get great delight in finishing them and correcting where she went wrong. Wish I could red mark them and give them back!

Well I'm sorry W's W isn't cool enough neti, tut. Are you sure you want to be seen with us old fogies? To be honest I'd like someone to give me a pile of expensive glossy fashion mags, I only buy them if the free gift makes it worthwhile, but beggars etc....We do laugh at the 'tweeness' sometimes.

Sunday lesson....Don't put a moulded bra (some of us need help) on the bed and then sit on it. Some reshaping is required. Has anyone got a couple of very small tortoises I can borrow please?

I dont do gossy mags either, pretentious twaddle. I like mags with croswords etc. Cant stand stories of child abuse, domestic violence so dont read much in them!

Good morning all. I don't know why but I've started listening to the Archers on a Sunday morning on Radio 4. I've been listening for months. Never listened to it before. Strange!
The sun in shining and it was frosty but that's gone now so off for a stroll.
Robi if you want I can bring you the Sunday magazines out of the Newspapers. The local newsagent gives them to me. He used to give me a pile but I've asked him, kindly, to only give me a few as I just don't have time to read them all.

Woofy I wouldn't really know how to look after a tortoise. I think you're really good doing what you do.
Shaney thinking about you too. Hoping the Spring helps all aches and pains a re relieved when the weather gets warmer. I do have some, even though I walk. I always and up in a bath the next day as my joint usually ache and wrist plays up. I'm still waiting for the plates to be taken out.
Neti you sound very organised. I know I go out quite a bit with friends but I do enjoy getting home sometimes to an empty house and just relaxing on my own. I thinks it's because I've lived on my own for years and years.

I bought a moulded bra last summer just in case figure needed help in the 50s dress, but never wore it, it is huge, takes up most of the bra drawer!!

neti a well and happy tort is a lively creature and eats well. Sick torts look and act.....well....sick. Heidi’s eyes were swollen and gunky and she was lethargic in herself. She is doing really well today, needed less help to feed herself and is getting stroppy about having her eye drops. Yesterday I went up and down stairs a lot as I was tidying up as well as looking after Heidi and my knees are complaining today. They don’t often but when the do, i know about it. I hate the way I look in moulded bras, like I have got two toilet rolls stuffed up my jumper. I haven’t seen Women’s weekly in ages, i used to like it....only but craft mags these days, or H

I don't buy so many mags these days but we subscribe to Saga and a local one Let's Talk and I subscribe to Lovatts puzzle mags.Sometimes buy Chat
for the puzzles.If there's a good knitting pattern I buy WW.It was my Mum's favourite mag along with Reveille and Titbits .

The one who is ill is 80 plus Shaney. The lady I got her from got her from the bloke who had her from a baby. My own tort was pretty much fully grown when I bought her around 50 years ago so 60+ would be a good guess.
I remember Reveille and Titbits, they had excellent puzzle pages, also Weekend.
