Electricity In Dubai?

Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Morning all...sunshine and blue skies have returned. Yesterday wasn't at all ideal here, it was crip, dark and damp all day. I put the light on at 7.30 and soon after that it absolutely hammered it down. Didn't sleep very well.

I shouldn't laugh at the exploded pesto, but I did anyway. There's a carton in the side of the road outside my house, should I call someone? Maybe Anthony Andrews will come and dispose of it. (Remember Danger UXB?)

it was sunny when I got up and now it ain't, but it is still warm and sticky.

I have been looking for things to smartwater. A policewoman came round and gave us some to mark our valuables with, but I now realise that after cameras and computers I haven't actually got anything much worth marking. Imagine if I tried marking clothes and after a burglary the police recovered hundreds of Primark T shirts from the tip.

Morning all. None of my previous long posts have posted so I gave up!
It was hot when I got up and it's hot now. But it's bearable as long as I get home for 1pm, then I stay in. But even going 7 meters to the laundry room requires shoes and a hat as protection.
No idea how I am putting Best answer cos I'm not!

sorry Neti, hello all. We were supposed to go out early today to miss the noise of the bottlebank lorry which the dogs hate. We were all so tired out with the horrible weather that we slept through the alarm and I woke up with the lorry jingling outside and two panicking dogs climbing on top of me. Once we had all calmed down again it was too hot to sleep so we have lazed around and felt dazed all day. Still it nice and cool tonight so we are going to make the most of it before the weather comes back maybe tomorrow. Roll on the autumn!

going to be about 8 degrees cooler tomorrow along with some heavy showers, because of course it's holiday weekend. Should be good for carnival and also for sis's BBQ to celebrate her turning British.

Morning...been a wet, miz one up to now but it looks like it's brightening up.
Lovely day yesterday and I think I overdid it a bit, I'm dizzy and forswonked today.

Had a message and pic from Ozzy (FB), he's crushed his thumb and broken it in two places at work. Hoping he won't need plastic surgery. He likes to keep the hospitals busy, he worries me but I can't dwell on it.

I did try to say hello to you yesterday neti but it was soooo slooow on here it was impossible.

Am a bit worried to tell the truth, as also have no energy whatsoever. Have been putting it down to old age and this heat but this chest which has been hurting for about a week now has got me worried. Still I'll survive. Am self dosing with anti bios which i still get on prescription for last chest infection!

Actually thinking about it I have done quite a lot already today. I've done the shopping. Met mates for coffee, tidied house made bed, done 3 loads of washing and ironing and been poking about on ladders into the tops of 3 tall cupboards, so not all bad!!!
