Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Afternoon all
Muggy and drizzly here .Not much heavy rain though we may get it later.I've got the aches but have been very virtuous nevertheless.
My bro has just gone looking like a dog with two tails. He looked so sad the other day and was saying how he would love a homemade pie as shop bought ones are not the same and he's no good at making pastry
So, I made him four of each ,chicken and ham and meat and tattie in those little foil dishes for the freezer.I rang him up and he was here like a shot.I didn't tell him I used pastry mix from McDougalls though .I'll await the verdict.Haha.
So that's my good deed for the day. Hope you're all ok .

Shaney how sweet of you. Poor bro.
I have confessed my sins to hija re her tied bleached work shirts, she couldntold give a damn, so we'll see what they look like on tomorrow.
We are all going out tonight round Ibiza port to see the weirdos and to partake of a drinking or two and a meal. Am trying to have a doze so I will be full of the joys........

It's only just stopped piddling down here but it's still miz.
Home made pies, lovely, Shaney's Farm Foods. Have you got a website? :)
I've got plenty of room in my freezer, I've defrosted it this afternoon, thought I'd better do something useful today.
I was sorting some washing and noticed I'd got a small bleach mark on the top I wore yesterday. I think we're all joined with cyber string. Maybe if someone pulled it we'd all gather together... :)

rain starts in 18 minutes. We bravely went out to the big city in the rain yesterday for a Polish lunch... looks like we nearly became the main course ourselves

Good day
Well jno, what can I say, hope you enjoyed your Polish lunch!
We went ont he bus to Ibiza port and walked all around the little streets and the famous Calle de la virgen, which is notoriously gay, but it was too early for them them have come out (as it were!) lots of new and interesting intimate bistros and cafes, then we looked at the huge yachts (yachts! bigger than the P&O Santander ferry). One of the biggest in the world if not the biggest was there, it was amazing, it's owned by an arab from UAE, had a helicopter there and lots of little boats and tenders on it. Now although I do not liek boats, yes I'd cruise on that one! Next to it was the Christina O (1943) which is Onasis's original luxury yacht (after it had been done up from being a anti submarine frigate for Canada in the war!) That one touched me as I remember poor Christina Onasis the original thunder thighs!!

Wee tapas early had a wander and some cocktails, then onto the famous Vara del rey for beer and more tapas which werent the best! Back home on the last bus and hija met her friends so we came home to bed after a dip in pool. Hija came wobbling in this am at 7!! Mr N had an emergency plumbing job so me and my slight headache had to do the shopping, but all done, packed away, house cleaned, washing done, swam and now relaxing in cold bedroom, as it is one of the hottest and most humid days of the year. CBA to walk to town for a coffee!!!
Oh there were another 2 snakes, but one of the feral cats loves them and kills them thank heavens. They are very thin and small snakes. Dislike them intensely!!

Morning...wild wind and cool yesterday but very little rain, went shopping with my sister, it was too irritating to do anything outdoors. Everywhere's wet this morning but now they're saying it's going to be a dry day. They change their minds every hour.
What a terrible fire and amazing there were no lives lost.

Good morning all. Nice day here as per, but with a breeze, ahh makes a change.
Hija went to bed about 6am I think, she'd come straight home from work at 3.15 but likes to watch a bit of tv (which I've recorded on a stick for her) to unwind. So whether she comes with us for lunch, I have no idea. She works again at 6pm!
We are taking it easy as it gets so hot here about midday. Poor Mr N has to go on a roof tomorrow to fit in a solar panel, he's dreading it in this heat.

We had a nice quiet day. Out locally for a tray of food called sea and earth and it consists of prawns, little squid, pork and lamb chops black pudding (spanish style)asparagus, little chorizos, chips and few other things. All freshly cooked, was very nice but way too much so brought it home and have just finished it, I eveN brought the bread back. Hija got up,for work and her hand was swollen and she found it hard to move. Apparently last night at work she cut the back of her hand with a glass,,so she's now in Urgencias in Ibiza having an x-ray as they think there may be a tiny shard of glass in it. This could take hours on a Sunday so we'll wait for phone call to collect her. She didn't want us there!
