Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

I think I'd look a bit grubby if I'd been running round a tennis court for four hours. He played brilliantly. One of the best tennis matches I've seen for a long time
Lovely day out there now after a dull start.

The highlight of my day so far is cracking open a new pack of pants. (I do wash them before wearing)

lovely views from up there, and mostly sunny all day.
Strange thing... I thought I'd been hit by a seagull, but OH said there was only a drop of damp on my collar. Then I noticed other people walking round with their hands out and looking at the skies in puzzlement. There were quite a few scattered drops of water on the pavement too. And yet the skies were clear and there was nothing round us anywhere producing water. Where on earth did it come from? I wondered if the i360 itself might have some hydraulic system that produced mist at the top that condensed into water or something. Most odd.

Good morning.
Well that funeral was the weirdest thing ever.
We all stood around in a meeting room being offered coffee of water, then troupedbinto a very small room to view the closed coffin under a glass cage. Then someone said something nice and we all left. It was only the viewing rooms not the main crematorium at all. No one knew what was happening. There is no chimney there so they do not burn the bodies there. Guess they take them back to the hospital for that. The German relatives were shocked and stunned at it all as we all were. Then we all went to a beach bar at Cala Llonga and had nibbles and drinks. We left 5 hours later!
I am going to ask the town hall to explain what is going on up there!!

Morning all...weather hasn't made up it's mind yet. It was lovely yesterday but not as hot as they'd been saying it would be.
Is this the tales of the unexplained category? I've been dreaming a lot lately, thankfully not bad ones, just very busy and involving lots of people. Maybe it's down to the full moon tomorrow.

neti, OH got talking to an old chap sitting in the sun yesterday. He said he'd just had a couple of hours waiting in hospital to be seen for some minor emergency and while he was there his mobile rang. It was an automated messge asking him if he'd begun making his funeral plans yet. He said he was quite alarmed.
its been boiling here...much hotter than forecast. Neti that’s quite odd...I suppose if you look at it objectively, no odder than a cremation service here...its just that we are used to that oddness.
Yes the dreams aren’t nightmares exactly but so real they take some shaking off once I wake....never had anything like it before.

the doughnut was great, neti, but how would you feel being 160 metres up in a glass bubble? The floor is solid, but the sides are all glass from your feet upwards, with barrier rails round the inside. You can always have a £10 glass of Sussex champers if you want to distract yourself.
I have phoned them up to ask if they are bringing rain to the south coast, and they are looking into it. Pehaps it will also function as a giant lightning rod?

Hello all
Another lovely day ,looks like all change for the weekend though with rain forecast.
That's a strange type of funeral Neti especially with no service .I know that in germany they take the casket away for cremation but there's always a service first in church as there are no crems with a church bit attached like here as far as I know and cremains must be buried in a cemetery or designated field of the unknown within a cemetery.Although lately they seem to be starting to overhaul their very strict laws on these things.
Jno ,I couldn't go on that if you paid me.I'd be a quivering wreck.
Nothing much going on here .Hope you're all ok.
