In terms of sight seeing. where do you think is better to go Ciaro or Luxor? as i will be staying in sharm el sheikh but will be going to either one of these places for the day and dont no which one to pick.

Luxor has more historic stuff to see, but I wouldn't have missed out on seeing the pyramids.

i did an over night bus trip from Sharm to Cairo. Was really worth it(tyring journey but if you take pillow and ear plugs you will sleep through the night). I have not been to Luxor but when I go back one day will definitely do it. I just wanted you to know it is worth doing the Cairo trip. Some people flew which was a lot more expensive but much quicker. In the end they got delayed so was a bit of a hassle. If you dont mind travelling to the bus journey. I don't know about your fitness but we also climbed mount sinai - it was fabulous too. Again very tiring but a life long memory I am sure.

cairo has the world famous museum with king tuts stuff in it,well worth the visit,also pyramids and spinx are nearby

what people said... both are great, but if you had to see just one sight you shouldn't miss the pyramids, as Dak pointed out, and that's Cairo
