Can owls fly backwards?

I think they can hover over their prey, and in fact move backwards whilst tracking it, so in effect flying backwards (perhaps a bit like a humming bird) but they can't fly backwards in normal flight.
Hummingbirds are the only birds that can truly fly backwards. Some others (Kestrels etc) can face into wind and hover. All other instances, the birds simply get blown backwards by a strong wind
As far as I know only hummingbirds can fly backwards.
