/// GermansWings was not a terrorism inspired act. ///

And who said it was?

/// Being in the RAF does not mean you flew. You did national service and probably didn't ///

Oh so you think you know that I did National Service do you, and you also have knowledge of my RAF career do you?

Are you ex M I5, Gromit, or is that a crystal ball you carry under your arm, so as to counterbalance the chip on your shoulder?

Surprising what some moderators think they know about AB members, seeing that one has to only give their email address, username and gender (if they so wish).

All I asked was a simple question, due to yet another air crash. And what happened (as already been pointed out by some), the juvenile attempted bullying that has taken place on this thread.

The latest hilarious contribution is by THECORBYLOON when he stated that when his late parents were in hospital he tended to notice more ambulances on the road.

You can't get a better argument than that, now can you? LOL

To answer your question - although it seems that there are an increasing number of airline incidents (murder/accidents), statistically...flying has not become less safe.
ANOTHOLDGIT since you have already said that you did not say there were more accidents, why is it that there seems to be more of them?

You may have found my contribution hilarious but that is down to your lack of understanding of my point. The number of ambulances on the road had not increased but my parents being in hospital made me more AWARE of the ambulances being on the road since both had been rushed to hospital in ambulances due to the nature of their conditions at the time.
// Any comments on the increasing number seen this year? //

yeah d'accord baby

if you have lots of something ( flights that is ) and a small chance of going wrong ( small small small - one in a million like ) then the statistical model to use is Poission ( soo named as it was first described by Borochowski to model deaths by kicks to the head in the Imperial stables 1875 - 1890 )

Apparently flying is becoming less safe, especially over a certain part of Egypt along with other war zones such as the Ukraine ?
