Naomi@ That shows what type of person you are, you pick out the bits and disregard the rest. Plus you don't really know or understand the Bible. If you did, you would know what happened to David. God is not cruel, if he were no one would be alive today, but he has given time and no one, not even you, can say you did not know.

I'm reading her book 'The First Christian St Paul's impact on Christianity' which accompanied her Channel 4 programmes and is extremely well researched and critical where need be, I've read others of her books too, so I'd like to know where she has given a 'rose coloured spectacle' view of religion, and what exactly does it mean, - is it anything that doesn't correspond with your bleak outlook?
