When Does The Fight-Back Start?
With so many innocent people killed in the space of a fortnight, now including an 86-year-old priest in his own church by Islamists, how far does this have to go before society starts to retaliate?
I suggest 'corporate responsibility'; that for each of these atrocities done in the name of Islam, 5 percent of mosques are closed down.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ."ichkeria, I'm not sure that's entirely accurate. It's certainly true that Blair took us to war under false pretences, but I have to ask whether that war would have happened at all without 9/11? "
Whether Blair took us to war under "false pretences" (probably) and whether the war would have taken place without "9/11" (quite possibly not) is not relevant to the point that IS is an offshoot of the situation that pertained in Iraq after the Iraq war. And I was only making that point as an observation of fact.
Mind you the thread does seem to have strayed somewhat from its original point, which is disappointing as it would have been interesting to here more about what can be done to combat these attacks.

Jackdaw – No, I posted it on the right thread and I know which other thread you are referring to.
Naomi – I believe I have already given you an answer soon after your post. Be it Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, or any other country. It would have happened without 9/11 as USA and Co want instability in every Muslim country. Especially the ones that has any regular army.
Vulcan – Taliban (and I am talking about Pakistan Taliban and not Afghan Taliban) were or were not CIA operatives or on CIA payroll? Can you tell me about a couple of things. Being a Pakistani I know the geography of Pakistan. Pakistani Taliban only attacked Pakistanis and Pakistani security personnel while controlling most of the Tribal area along the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Why they never attacked supplies to USA army through those areas where the minimum by road travel is 65 miles through their controlled areas? And why this person Reymond Davis was in regular touch with Taliban leaders as per his phone records? And why this person was so important for USA that Obama himself had to intervene and John Kerry himself went to pick him from Pakistan. After all he was only working for a private security according to this website. So what did he know?

Now the main question, How does the fight back start?
I believe it should start by leaving a few countries to their own life style and by stopping to create fringe groups, to create problem in those countries to safeguard the interests of a few other countries far, far away. We may not like Putin in Western countries but after all he is President of a major country. So is he telling a lie?

It would appear the French civilians in Southern France are mobilising and 'preparing for war'. Gun club membership has begun to surge!

'What "provocation" had the murdered priest, Father Jacques Hamel, provided?
An enemy willing to slaughter the most rollicking secularists and the most devout priest, both in their places of work, is an enemy with the entirety of French civilisation and culture in its sights. It is an enemy -- extremist Islam -- clearly intent not on some kind of tributary offering or suit for peace, but rather an enemy which seeks its opponent's total and utter destruction.
Should this not be the moment for the entirety of one of the greatest cultures on earth to unite as one, turn on this common enemy and destroy it first, in the name of civilisation?'
