Eggs
22 Answers
A few questions regarding this photo, these eggs were found in a hole in a field near my house. They are completely white and about one and a half inch long.
1 Do you think these eggs were laid where found? 2 Did they hatch or were they eaten by something from above? 3 Any idea what laid the eggs?

Then we can almost be certain it is either a wood pigeon or a collared dove egg

I've given this some further thought and tend to agree with Spathiphyllum that they may be discarded wood pigeon or collared dove eggs.
My theory, is that a fox may have buried the eggs (hence the hole) then returned sometime later and consumed the contents, this could explain why two eggs are in the same hole.
