Well, it's lax immigration and being part of the EU isn't it!

Isn't it?
aog---The streets of London have always been 'paved with gold' and the city has always been like a magnet with people gravitating there to make their fortune. As with the northern towns ghettos have been created and just like up here in the North English people have moved out as fast as the foreigners have moved in. John Cleese is correct in what he is saying.
Mr Cleese states his remarks were not racist but culturist and gives his reasons for living in Nevis not that I believe he needs to justify himself.

//Cleese has since responded by comparing London to life to Nevis in the Caribbean where the actor lives, writing: ‘It might interest those people who seem to think my remarks about London are racist as opposed to culturalist, to consider that what I like about spending time in Nevis. ‘Nevis has excellent race relations, a very well educated population, no sign of political correctness, no sign of Rupert Murdoch, conscientious lawyers, a relaxed and humorous life style, a deep love of cricket, and a complete lack of knife crime. And, of course, wonderful weather.//

Can't stand the man but he can't be fairer than that. Sounds good to me.

With the exception of the wonderful weather that could also describe how England used to be>
