the most convincing evidence i've ever heard on corrective eye surgery is that last year, the very first eye surgeon in the UK had the procedure done on himself, and he is very very long sighted (about 24 apparently). A lot of eye surgeons have poor eyesight, and they earn plenty, so why have none of them had it done themselves?
