much more sensible questions at breifing from public than journos mind you, it's not like they answered them! and i'd really like to know the answer about the schools one
I see that the 100000 target for testing was met,
Yes the school's one was not really answered. Matt said they won't reopen until it's safe but didn't say what would happen if parents refused to send their kids. My guess is it's unlikely that parents will be fined if they fail to send children in during June/July but by September the normal attendance rules will apply
The 122000 figure is correct according to the agreed counting method but it does seem an odd way of counting and I'm sure Teacake will say "more lies". But it'll all come out in the wash as the tests that are posted out don't get counted as they come back in and maybe some sent out the day before have come back. It's make more sense though to count them when the tests are received in labs as it would overcome accusations of counting too early
Yep - the testing figures claim is a complete con as one might expect. The huge number includes those that are "in the post" to people who have requested them, never mind all those who have been tested but awaiting the result. And the schools question as to whether scared parents would be fined for not sending their kids to school wasn't answered at all obviously. Get rid of Hancock for goodness sake.
Keep hounding people over targets and this is the sort of situation it creates. But if the figures continue at this level then I'm sure you and Teacake will offer your congratulations
I don’t comment on here very often, but I seem to have reached the stage when I can recognise who the poster is from the never changing comments. Change the record
Diddly, be honest: even if they provide proof that they met their targets you'd come up with some pathetic conspiracy theory to try and discredit them.
the fining for kids non school attendance thing is interesting as its still perfectly legal to homeschool your children...so folk who don't want to send their children back to school can just declare that they are homeschooling. The catch of course is that the school place for that child is lost for that school year and maybe for longer.
