I went to church this morning in a nearby village at the advertised time, but no one turned up, not even the vicar. Once before they were late but this is the first when nobody came. Has this happened to anyone else at a meeting or service?.
It seems to be the 'fashion' these days, nobody turning up.. A few years ago, waiting for train home in Paddinton, commuters were told the driver didn't turn up!....
Sajid Javid cancelled a live tv programme this morning not feeling too well , but managed to make it to PMLs... no ministers at all talking to the media today .
We do not get many people at midweek services in Norfolk and the vicar may have thought no one would turn up on a windy day and cancelled it. The trouble is us hardy types make an effort to attend.
That is such a shame, William. I hope there was no sinister reason that none turned up. It still seems strange to me that church doors are usually locked except for services.
