Ducklings

I have a very small garden pond. This morning there is a duck and ELEVEN ducklings on it. No sign of the drake. I also have a cat...any suggestions as to how to keep them safe and feed them?

Do you have a wildlife rescue near you? If so, ring and ask advice. They may come and pick them up. The duck may lead her family away if she has access out of the garden.

You're absolutely right, roopower, thank you. I phoned the vet who gave me the number of the wildlife rescue centre and some advice. Then Mother duck took them for a walk up the garden, decided that was no use, came down again for a swim, then walked them to the front if the house and turned left. My lovely neighbours led them along towards the canal, where they all jumped in. Happy ending.
