TIA

many of the suppliers now offer very good deals eg my supplier, eclipse do unlimited broadband starting from
9-99 month so surf as much as you like when you like with no hidden charges.

What they are saying is that if for any reason you DO have to use dial up to access AOL (such as if you are using it from another location, or if there is a problem with the broadband connection), then you will be charged as pay per minute. It has nothing to do with using AOL whilst using broadband! Hope that helps (I am on the same package!)
Thanx to you all for helping. Trev U is quite right and the pay as you go is if you use aol from another location. I emailed them today and within 10 mins they had replied stating the fact. I have therefore not cancelled it and hope to broader in the band fairly soon. Thanks guys, i love this website!!!! :-)
