For us this evening, real gourmet stuff. With ketchup and tartar sauce.
Followed by a sticky toffee pud which has been languishing in the freezer for longer than I care to think about.
We’re eating (and drinking) stuff up at the mo for various reasons so will probably have a few G&Ts too, just to get rid of the bottles you understand.

And thank you for asking about the afternoon tea, it was lovely, mainly due to the venue. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were very nice but nothing exceptional, the service was very good, the champers (Moët) was really good. The weather and view from our table was wonderful, right across the Thames and way beyond into the Berkshire countryside.

I've been reading this thread while tucking into my evening meal:
80g of mince, defrosted from the freezer and browned in a frying pan, with a third of a can of baked beans then being added next, along with some instant beef gravy. Throw in some hot chilli powder, allow to simmer for 15 minutes and serve with a couple of slices of bread. It's one of my favourite quick meals and, at under 60p, it ain't gonna break the bank!
I'm now going to finish off with some nice strawberries and clotted cream ice cream though, so bang go my efforts to save money! Oh well, c'est la vie ;-)

I find canned spuds handy in dishes where one would otherwise have to parboil them anyway, as in my own pilchard bake recipe:
