Hypertension

Had a BP check this afternoon and the nurse said as I have hypertension I need to do a Urine test, I pointed out that I had never done one before and I have been on medication for many years now.  Has anyone else heard of this.

Yes, years and years ago I had to do a 24 hour urine collection for HBP.

It helps the doctors fin out if something is causing your blood pressure to rise.

I sufer from hypertension but have only had blood tests, never a urine test.
