Flight cancellation - what can I claim?
Once again I've had difficulties with the Moroccan airline 'ATLAS BLUE'.
As an eventual 'compensation' for last August's problem when I and around 18 others, were bumped off their flight from Marrakech to London, I was offered a "Free Ticket" Marrakech - London return.
On 16th january when I was due to return to Marrakech, I arrived at Gatwick airport only to find that Atlas Blue had cancelled the flight without even as much as informing me about it. So I had to return to central London and stay one more night. I had no help at the airport as their handling agent did not know what to do. The next day I went to Royal Air Maroc's office in London and eventually I was offered a flight on their plane back to Marrakech via Casablanca, but from Heathrow. It obviously was an arrangement between RAM and Atlas Blue, the latter being part of the same group. I should add that I did not pay for this flight. In the circumstances, can I still claim for the extra expenses incurred even though the ticket I had was a free one but in compensation for an earlier problem?

best bet is to write to Atlas Blue head office and tell them the situation and keep a copy for yourself and also copy all your expences that you had to spend out on, and see what they do.
some airlines out of good will will give u the money back and that will be all...
good luck.
