An idiot young driver on a mobile phone drove into the back of my car whilst i was stationary at a juncton - on first inspection there appeared to be no damage, but turned out to be 800 worth - we exchanged details and i claimed through my insurance. The guy in question has now denied ever being there and my insurance company ( tesco) are doing next to nothing on my behalf. Surely there is something i can do - there were no other withnesses. But i do seee the car drivng down the same road at the same time daily as it is near where we both live. Any advice please

insist your company deal with the claim, how else would you have his details, why dident you take some photos with your mobile phone to prove it.,by the way has he had his repairs done yet,if not take a photo asap of his car.
what does that prove, just shows some random with damage to his car
no witnesses, its your word against his, learn and move on
I would ring the insurance company and demand an explanation. It is probably another company working for Tescos.

If not satisfactory I would ask to speak to their senior until I was dealt with properly. They should have a complaints procedure.

Threaten complaint letters to Tesco HQ and they should start getting nervous. Follow it through with Tesco HQ if necessary. They don't like bad publicity.
