Out of Body Experiences hidden in dreams
9 Answers
Lets me first explain a couple of important facts. I was sleeping on the sofa downstairs. In the dream i was standing on a small enbankment, with some steps leading down onto the other level.
I looked back infront of me and saw a figure of myself standing, on my own, facing away from me looking into nothingness. I walked up to the figure of myself as i was curios as what it was doing there, what it was looking at. As i looked at the figure close up the scene suddenly changed to back into my bedroom. I was lying on my back and i saw the figure of myself lying half in me and half out of me. I felt the figure trying to push back into me and once it clicked in i felt it back inside me. A split second later i woke up back on the sofa and for a few moments i wondered were i was.
I had my legs arched and a pillow on my chest when i woke up. Did i have an OBE or was it just a normal dream? I was convinced i was there when i was lying in the bedroom. It seemed so real i don't know what to think.

All i remember is that feeling of the body going into me and also seeing it. I could have been the figure being sucked back in, but i couldn't feel myself for a few seconds after i woke up.
Well that's the sort of thing that happens when people "die" and see themselves lying on the bed in hospital or wherever with others gathered around. The only thing that doesn't fit the bill in your story is the fact you didn't see any light in a tunnel which is the normal obe. If it was an obe then you wouldn't have a "body" as it is a spirit form ( or soul if you like) that goes back into the physical body when the pull is too strong and brings you back to Earth.
When i looked at my body it was kind of a blue glowing outline. On occasions prior to the event i have seen bright white flashes.
For instance i was starring at my cats body once and then suddenly i saw a white flash which seemed to eminate from my cats body and grow very fast untill i could see nothing but brilliant white and then dissappeared. I felt absolutly freezing cold after that.
Also i tend to see quite a few white flashes out the corners of my eyes etc when writing about these events or viewing this topic. Also note that i felt like a seperate being in the dream and didn't feel connected to my own body at all.
