I'm gonna give the pudd a whirl tomorrow pasta and shaney, let you know how I get on. If you don't hear from me for a while- i've given the Boo household food poisoning!
You lot are making me hungry (and I've not long had dinner!)!! Slow cookers are brilliant! I've got a nice cookbook called "New Recipes for your Slo-Cooker" by Annette Yates (ISBN Number 0-572-02636-6), which has got all sorts of yummy recipes (meat, veggie, puds &c) in it. Worth getting - whether you're new at slow-cookers or an old hand. K xx
- tip would be get the biggest your house can accommodate - the slocookers are good for entertaining as you can get eveything done and just serve the grub - try things ike coq au vin, beouf bourgignon etc -
old fashioned and proper stews, stocks and hearty grub. all very healty too and you can use nice cheap cuts of meat as the cooking is so gentle.
Hiya,nickmo...it's a shame I don't have a big family. Guess I will have to make room in the freezer for all the leftovers!Hmmm-chicken with 25 cloves of garlic anyone?
I got a cookworks one. It certainly seems ot be as effective as any of the dearer makes and for 8.49 I figured I could cut my losses if I didn't like using it.
