i have a toyota lucida, (diesel) which is blowing loads of smoke from the exhaust, it seems to be really bad when you pull away, in lower gears, its an automatic. it is white smoke, but a lot of it if you accelerate hard. i haven';t been driving it as much as normal although it still is being driven every couple of days. it doesn't have an oil leak onto th road, could it be something to do with the oil though? or is the engine likely to blow up!!!
I would agree with Mech29s diagnosis what he/she omits to say is that you should get it sorted ASAP, otherwise should excessive water flood a cylinder, you could be looking at an even more expensive repair.
thanks for your answers, any idea roughly how much the repairs would cost?
Somebody else did say to me something about a seal might have gone though. Bloody Cars!!!!!
